Holy Trinity Springfield
Our World church Partnership in Europe is established with the Church Army through the work of Captain nick and Helen Russell.
Nick and Helen are working for the Church Army in the Ferrier Estate in Kidbrook south London. They have lived there for seven years and have just had their first child Isabel.
They work in one of Britain’s most deprived housing estates bringing God’s love into an area of social exclusion, high crime, vandalism, drug and alcohol abuse, and unemployment. They started a fresh expression of church on Sunday Afternoons and a young persons drop in centre, together with a large children’s club and other practical projects.
They work with an evangelistic purpose with the aim of helping people rediscover their potential and self worth through he experience of God’s love shared amongst Christian people.
