Baptism at Holy Trinity
Baptism is a joyous and celebratory occasion. It may also be called a ‘Christening’. By tradition the Church of England has always welcomed those who come for baptism who live within the parish boundary, or who regularly worship with a particular church, whether they come for baptism themselves as adults, or to have their children baptised. As the Anglican parish church, Holy Trinity upholds this tradition. These notes are to help you begin to understand what baptism is about and how Holy Trinity Church seeks to help those who enquire about baptism to know whether it is the right thing for them.
