· · Pray for God's blessing on Nick and Helen who feel under a lot of pressure in terms of work at the moment. Nick has been covering for people who have been off sick which has reduced the amount of time they have spent together as a family. Pray for their renewed strength, for rest and for good quality family time together.
· Pray for those known to Nick and Helen on the estate who are facing difficulty with destructive relationships or addiction. Pray for S, who is pregnant and being asked to leave her foster parents’ home because of a violent crime she committed, and for her very young fiancé (not the father of her child). Pray for an addict A, now in rehab, and for his partner. Social Services have informed him that his baby daughter is to be taken away for adoption in March. She has been his main motive for tackling his habit. Pray for guidance and direction for the team as they reach out to those in need and for perseverance when needed
· Pray for CA officer Peter Wilson and CA evangelist in training Craig Dowling who partner Nick and Helen in the work.
· Pray for Nick as he leads the local residents association and as they seek to protect the rights of those still living on the estate. Pray that the recent pressure from the developer on the Council to re-house people from the estate more quickly will not result in unfair court actions and pressure for local residents to accept poor accommodation.
For Nick and Helen Russell – We thank you for the committed witness of nick and Helen in the Ferrier Estate in Kidbrooke over many years. We pray that you would give them every good gift they need for working in that difficult area. May they see the fruit of their labours and know the encouragement of others. Help them as they grow together, that they may know the blessing of family life. Amen
