Pray for the new printing works opened on 19th May 2008 The press at the new Amity factory, is a British-made Timson T32 high-speed web press. Costing 32 million yuan (about US$4.3 million), it is capable of printing 18,800 pages per hour. The new facility doubles the annual output to 12 million Bibles per year. The new factory is the world’s single-biggest producer of Bibles.
Praise the Lord for the well-attended opening of the new Amity Printing Company building . The Archbishop of the Province of South East Asia said 'What we are witnessing today is truly a miracle of God'. A large collection was taken and sent to the Earthquake appeal.
Pray for the continued freedom to publish Bibles and the effects of them being distributed at the Olympic games.
Pray for those who distribute the bibles on road cart and foot. May every step be inspired by the Holy Spirit and be a labour of love for him.
Pray for the workers at amity who print and bind the bibles. May their work be diligent and the working conditions be and example of good Christian practice.
Pray for the new printing press site and the need for the workers accommodation to be completed so that Amity can honour their agreements about the sale of the old site.
