God our Father, we thank you for the world-wide fellowship of your people in the Anglican Communion; for the variety of background and culture and the desire to relate together in serving you. Give wisdom to the leaders in every parish, diocese and province, that they may know your truth, faithfully teach and lead the people in their care, and know when to speak out against injustice. May the church in every place be strong in you, willing to hear, obey and speak your Word, and able to show your love in action in its local community. This we ask for Jesus Christ's sake. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we commend to your loving care all who carry the good news of Jesus Christ to people of lands and cultures other than their own. Give them the grace to learn as well as to teach, and to commend your love by actions as well as by words. Provide, Lord, for their every need of body, mind and spirit, and keep families with children bound together in your love. When faced with weariness or loneliness, disappointment or danger, help them to remember that the Lord who called them is ever present and totally faithful. May their vision of yourself continually burn bright. Amen.
